One of my favorite iPhone apps comes from a company Synthetic Corp called SwankoLab.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I have a lot more experience in Art than in Design. First I am an artist and the Design is more an experiment than is a passion. My experience in Design constitutes in seven to eight years of computer work.

Are you self taught or did you go to school?

Art Institute of Timisoara graduated, where I did five years of painting which is still my passion and I can declare myself more of an expert than in the Design area. I consider Design as being a rank in Art and this would make it easier for me to have realistic opinions about a good done job or a poorly done one. This would not be possible without a long term of studies.

How long have you been designing logos?

I start designing logos 3-4 years ago.

Where do you get your inspirations from?

From everywhere, but first of all i like to invent things.

What tools and programs do you use to create logos?

I work in illustrator and corel from my logos.

What is usually your design process?

I start working directly on the computer, i make sketches very rarely. I always try to make something versatile for looking good on monocolors , flat colors, b&w , and ofcourse in 3d style. I try to fit at the client brief, but manytimes i just want to make something good and profesional without caring about the clients taste. I want to do something logical , something who can be changed very quickly in terms of colours and gradients.
